According to the NFI (the Dutch Forensic Institution), there is no factual evidence for the fact that these three guys had sexual intercourse with this girl.
In the meanwhile, Aruba is being boycotted by the state of Alabama, because they feel the Aruban authorities aren’t doing their jobs sufficiently.
Luckily, the Dutch & Aruban legal systems work different than the US one: you won’t get pressured, or even tortured, to admit to a crime you didn’t commit otherwise these 3 guys would’ve been wrongly locked up or even sentenced to death, ages ago. Whilst the real rapist and killer would still wander the Earth.
Oh well, anything for that little (false) feeling of safety we all value so much….
Seriously, I wouldn’t be surprised if the girl was kidnapped by a US citizen. How sick the thought may be, somewhere I hope that it is. And I hope the US authorities will apologize to the Dutch & Aruban authorities for once again being the arrogant pricks that they are with all this focussing on Dutch suspects.
Of course, worse case scenario, they never find the guilty ones and will push for insane, non-working technology to ‘prevent’ this in the future, such as RFIDs.
Anyways, the NFI asked the FBI to research the tapes and back their findings.
