November 24th 2005 at 10:29 am in The 25-year-old American school-teacher that had sexual intercourse with one of her students, is today sentenced to a 3 year period house-arrest.
She may not interact with kids anymore, nor may she earn money from the fact (like writing a book about it, or showing her face in talk-shows on television). Hell, the American president is responsible for the killing of kids and that doesn’t seem to matter?
Anyways, per count (3 in total), she faced 15 years in jail, but because she completely confessed to the crime, she now has this 3 year house-arrest thing coming towards her.
(Honestly, I wonder how this case started rolling. When I was a 14-year old boy, I wouldn’t mind having sex with my 25 year old teacher, really. So I bet he bragged about it, and his parents got word of it and sued her? I refuse to believe that the 14 year old boy protested to the having sex, and am likened to think that the boy was pressured to press charges.)
I think this whole situation is less, far less serious than a preacher ‘using’ the word of the Bible to force some young kid to suck on his little sour popsicle.
Additionally, reading the news that a 17 year old kid that was sentenced to death in 1993, was probably innocent; parallels that immediately brings up questions in the teacher case….
