US refusal to clarify on off-shored CIA prison could have consequences for Dutch participation in new military missions.

In regards to the American ’secret’ off-shored CIA prisons, and the EU’s request on clarification from the US, our minister of foreign affairs, Mr. Bot, said to the Tweede Kamer that, ‘the truth will come out sooner or later‘, ‘the US should not play hide and seek in regards to the secret CIA prisons‘ and that ‘this could have consequence for the Dutch participation in new military missions‘.

Additionally he stated that he wanted the guarantee from the Afghan president that the Afghan prisoners handed over to the local authorities by Dutch military, shall not get the death-penalty.

And I think that’s both good news; we all seem to be mixed up in this ‘follow the leader’ game, without questioning every step that is taken. Sure as hell we shouldn’t be responsible for the killing of possibly innocent ‘terrorism suspects with links to Al-Qaeda’.

Meanwhile we’re being lead into believing that these Al-Qaeda guys are everywhere, yet terribly hard to catch, whilst American students seem to easily get in touch with them… Now why do I have a hard time believing that?
