Yesterday evening, apart from the 99 cable-channels with nothing on it, there was a National IQ-test on Dutch TV. Of course, these tests are only an indication, but I thought it would be fun doing it anyway.
The TV show had different ‘groups’ from society, like garbage-disposer and inventors, but the most noteworthy group was the group of cannabis-smokers. The potheads, while sober, made a test that afternoon too. Just before the TV show they smoked about 3 joints and made the test with everybody else, so they could compare whether smoking weed affects ones IQ.

Anyways, me and the girlfriend got a pen & paper and started making the tests, separately. Coincidentally, while also smoking weed. So… I’m not sure if I remember correctly, but in the end, the potheads had an average IQ of 119, about 4 points higher than that afternoon. There’s a few notes about this though: in the afternoon the experiment was quite controlled. They were all quietly making the tests, while during the TV show itself there was quite a lot of ‘murmur’ in the different audiences, so chances are they were simply copying answers from other people, because I know from experience marijuana affects ones IQ exactly the opposite as it slows down memory and other important mental processes.
Me and the girlfriend did not share answers and we both made stupid mistakes. Still, I hate to say that my girlfriend scored 134 — 2 points higher than myself.
I’m sure I would’ve scored significantly higher if I was sober, though.

i would be interested to know.. i done an online iq test and scored 148 (which is similar to what i’ve scored in the past)
had 3 large joints…
Did another test with same same website (different questions) and scored 170 (Which i consider a huge iq)..
I’m totally shocked…
I’m wondering if doing my tests so close together, my brain was maybe prepared after the first test and was not pressured because i was unprepared and had forgotten what too expect leading in to the first test…
Can anyone recommend a decent accurate i.q test on the net…
