Taiwan wants cheap Microsoft software….

Well, actually, Taiwan’s parliament has voted to end the dependence on Microsoft softwareand wants to cut governments’ purchases by 25%.

But we have seen this happen before so we know what could possibly happen. Countries that say they want to get rid of Microsoft software, or use only Open Source software, only to later retract that statement because they cut a cheap deal with Microsoft….

I wouldn’t get my hopes up yet…
