The 44-year-old was arrested in October last year after police responding to a burglary call at his apartment in Manhattan allegedly found 13 plastic bags of cocaine, weighing a total of more than 3½ grams. Mr O’Dowd’s lawyers have said that the singer had been entertaining at his home and that the drugs were not his. He could face up to 5½ years in prison if convicted.
Woah — that’s not really proportional to the crime, now is it? Bush probably snorted plenty more and he’s president now.
I mean, even if the drugs were his, three and a half grams is a pretty damn little amount. US has sold & used worse chemicals, for fucks’ sake.
