Apparently, ‘the man’ closed the only coffee-shop worth buying weed from in the city that I used to go out in when I was younger. I still did frequent the shop itself because weed that I can get from shops here is inferior.

What the fuck? Where do I (and hundreds of other folk) have to get my frigging good quality weed from now?
This coffee-shop has always had issues with the local government, them being too conservative. There used to be lots of so-called ‘house-dealers’ which the police, according to Dutch law, cannot do anything about. Ever since this coffee-shop was started, those (and the hard-drugs also sold there) slowly disappeared. (Hell, even the local police was happy and didn’t have any issues at all with the guys running the shop.)
When I still used to live in that neighbourhood I used to talk with the owner a lot about these judicial stuff, so I was surprised to read that, after 10 years local enforcers finally got their way and it was shut down (funny enough, the first time they shut it down and confiscated everything, the day after it was all up and running again *hehe*).
Thing is, they don’t want Mr. Duijn to profit, they want the ‘local government’, i.e. the municipality to profit.
Fucking money-hungry pigopolists…
What do you expect from the local stoners? That they buy from the guy that shut to good outlets down and replaced them with inferior, probably chemically treated crap because they are out for profit? Definitely, those stoners should just go to Alkmaar, or Hoorn to get their stuff (probably there’s still plenty guys selling from their homes in Stede Broec as well).
Boycott the government-run coffee-shops!
They way it is now you always get good quality weed because that’s the only stuff the coffee-shops want to sell to keep up a good name. Government-run stores will most probably sell the cheapest stuff they can get their hands on.
Stupid thing is, the government can close a coffee-shop, but they can’t do anything about somebody selling weed from his own home. So, closing a coffeeshop because it is too close to a school is possible, but arresting a guy selling heroine from a house near a kindergarten-style thing is illegal.
Anyway, I know Mr. Duijn will definitely fight this as it is terribly unfair. He’s honestly making a living just like anybody else and the government is making it difficult for him.
Good luck fighting this, Aad.
