March 24th 2006 at 8:33 pm in Conspiracies, Freedom & Repression, Interesting Links, Media, Religion & Politics Today, after recently reading this fascinating review on Noam Chomsky’s book, “What Uncle Sam Really Wants“, I picked it up.

I just finished reading it and, like after reading any Chomsky piece, it leaves me with more of my suspicions confirmed and amazed… Amazed at what the US has done, the media’s willingness to look the other way and how the masses have been fooled.
The more things change, they indeed seem to stay the same.

if it wasn’t steeped in researchable facts, it’d be hard to believe.
check that.
it’d be hard for the average american to believe.
we’ve got so much eye wool floating around over here, add a crappy and expensive educational system, the attention grabbing industries of entertainment and sport, and sprinkles of targeted fear, and the result is nubmness and denial…
i need a european vacation. “rusty!”
Not only the average American either, it seems.
On one of my daily ’spread-the-truth’ sessions at work today, I was telling a colleague about Chomsky and he started to say: “If only half of what you telling me was true..”
I interrupted him saying “Believe me, definitely more than that is true and people are still happy to ignore the facts.”.
That kinda paints the ugliness of the current state of affairs…
