May 8th 2006 at 11:33 am in Forgive my ignorance if you have already heard about this, but while reading the most recent 2600 issue — a reader mentioned the Clusty search-engine which I had never heard about until then.
Although this search-engine also makes money from advertisements, this one isn’t as intrusive as Google’s services (from a privacy point-of-view that is).
I have been test-driving it a few times (as I did with Google at the time, comparing search-results etcetera) and I must say its results aren’t bad at all…
Looks pretty promising…
