What has happened to Microsoft’s naming scheme?
Usually they just used generic English terms to name a product (think of things like ‘Windows’, ‘Word’, ‘Office’, etcetera).
But lately this seems to have changed:
Microsoft’s XBugs, err Xbox, the toy with which they hope to conquer all house-holds.
Microsoft’s Wimp, errr, WMP, the supposed (proprietary) JPEG killer. Sure.
Microsoft’s Wanker, errr, OneCare. This should protect you and your data. Sure.
Just by looking at those names, that company seems to have lost its creativity quite some time ago.
