June 28th 2006 at 3:25 pm in So I just read this Dutch news about the last Potter story (still in progress) featuring the deaths of 2, yet unknown, characters.
She explains in the article (and this is the whole reason why I took the time to write this little blurb), that, although she initially didn’t want to let some die, she now understands why authors do this to their characters. A mechanism to guarantee that, if she’s dead and buried, these characters won’t be re-introduced.
She obviously hasn’t heard of the concept ‘prequel‘ we all have come to know and hate…
