The 32 year old Dutch freelance Donald Duck cartoonist Sander G. has been convicted for sexually abusing young girls on the internet. Presumably, he was bothering them with indecent proposals and posing naked in front of a webcam.

Oh btw, his last name isn’t published because that’s how they usually do it in the Netherlands; privacy laws or something. I found out that it isn’t that hard to find out what Donald Duck cartoonist they refer to.
Well, at least it seems to point in his direction.
After this news was posted on the mcduck.nl forum by somebody putting 2 and 2 together and figuring out who the freelance cartoonist really was, the thread in question was pulled. That in itself sparked an interesting debate on censoring. All of this can nicely be re-constructed from Google Cache.
This article here doesn’t mind posting his full name, though. Probably because it’s too obvious or something.
I find the Donald Duck editor, Thom Roep his remark kinda strange, when he distanced from the acts of the freelancer (emphasis mine):
Erm, yeah? So? I seem to miss the argument.
It took me a while to make a raw comparison, but it’s like the church saying “Well, babies aged 1 to 2 years aren’t really our target audience so I don’t understand why the private lives of our priests actually matter?”
