It could’ve been an article on The Onion but sadly — it ain’t no joke. ‘Der’ Man wants to illegalise in-game violence thinking that it will prevent kids going insane shooting everything to shite.

Can’t it get any sillier than that? It’s one thing to think of a law, but there’s got to be a way of enforcing it too…. Can you imagine, game producers would have to create a way for the police to watch in on in-game behaviour — and throw you in jail if they don’t see it fit. On second thought that’s not a hard thing to imagine after all but sheesh… just when you finally find a way to excercise your anger without hurting anyone and they find a way to take it away.

Damn bastards…
