What the fuck is up with todays youth?

I was sitting in the train minding my own business, when at a certain station this older guy tried to unfold his foldable bicycle. Tried — because it didn’t work initially. All in all it was relatively amusing because you could hear the guy curse the bike..

Another pair of witnesses to this oh-so-funny event — a guy and his girlfriend — were having fun too. Next thing that I heard this guy say to his girlfriend, while reaching for his camera-phone: “Make a video of this?”…

I’m usually not one of those guys that helps other people with stuff they can figure out by themselves — but the mere fact that the youth nowadays finds it more important to, probably, post some dang video on the internet — than to be able to help another person, pissed me off a bit so I decided to lend a hand…

If there is any balance in the world and universe, I bet those two kids, when they grow up, will get ridiculed too.

Every weekday morning, like many other slaves in this day and age, I fill up a big mug with some fine coffee and get into my car to drive to work.

It’s Spring-time, a new beginning, the start of a lot of new life: all types of birds are returning from their stay in warmer locations. They get a little noisier, find a partner and will already start building nests, etcetera.

That’s cool, because nature is cool — life is cool.

And it’s not only birds that are getting more active. It’s also the more ‘quiet’ animals that you hardly see, for instance, hares and rabbits.

Yeh you might’ve noticed them though — as roadkill: dead as a doornail, its long ears blowing in the wind, and their fluffy, deteriorating, bodies inflating to double the size because its infestation with all types of insects that eat at the dead flesh.

It really hurts me to see a dead animal like that, knowing that it absolutely ain’t their fault that they got run over.

It’s not their fault that some capitalist system found it necessary to lay some highway there, leaving the animals that lived there no alternative than to dare the cross.

I hate to know that, some of these little animals were on their own way to find food and then to return to the borough to it’s offspring which need to have food to prevent gastro-intestinal stasis.

I hate to know that these animals I see lying have never returned and their offspring have been effectively murdered.

I wonder how these fools do this? Do they have shit in their eyes?

I mean, I see a lot of dead animals, but I never hit one. Hell, even the part of the city I live in, where you may not drive faster than 30 Km/h, ducks and birds get murdered. That’s only possible if those drivers don’t effing watch out.

It’s sad… Really sad. It just one other of those things that annoy me, or even hate, more so as it seems there’s nothing to be done about it.

I knew it, the rest of the world knew it, and now it seems the 95 percent naive American fucks that decide the US’s future are slowly waking up to the truth as well.

According to this posting on Slashdot,

“Having ‘successfully sued former Palm Beach County (FL) Supervisor of Elections Theresa LePore to get the audit records for the 2004 presidential election,’ Black Box Voting reports that the ‘internal logs of at least 40 Sequoia touch-screen voting machines reveal that votes were time and date-stamped as cast two weeks before the election, sometimes in the middle of the night.’ Besides the date discrepancies, they claim to have discovered countless other errors and anomalies, including a case of one voting machine being ‘powered down 128 times during the election’.” Given the findings here, can we have a do-over?

In The Netherlands we had this row a couple of years ago when some ‘famous’ Dutch TV-person got diagnosed with breast-cancer and she went to a ‘medium’ (i.e. a psychic healer) to cure her, in stead of letting a real doctor lead the cure-process.

Anyways, this medium had a leading role and advised the doctors that the person did see.

Now, 5 years later, these doctors are being blamed for not acting according to some so-called ‘professional guidelines’ which lead to the person’s death.

Excuse me?

This means that I, if I get sick, may not choose the healing process I must succumb to? In other words: it’s by the professional guidelines thy will be processed or thy will not be processed at all?

I believe that if I say to the doctor: “Yeh, well sod the guidelines”, it is my liberty to do so, no?

If I then die, it is my own fault, now isn’t it?

All this shit isn’t going to bring her back and isn’t going to take away any pain or hurt. And no — it is not going to close a ‘chapter’ either.

If you really loved a person you will never get over it — so get over that and get on with your own life in stead of speculating how others’ life may have been if they were still here…

Hard winds and lots of rain this morning.

Seems like it’s getting winter in the Netherlands. Terrible storms this morning and lots of rain. Some parts of the country (south-east) already seen a bit of snow.

The wind is quite irritating if you drive a relatively small car — it pulls at and pushes against it, almost making it impossible to drink my coffee while steering with one hand!

Guess it’s only a matter of time before the cold winter weather will affect the whole country here.

I want it to be summer again.

Update 15:58: Just got home from work: weather was even worse. Snow, rain, winds, traffic jams… Good thing I left from work an hour early, because I just heard that the highway I take has been closed! Lucky me.

Additionally, the police warned people living in my part of the country not to go outside unless really necessary because there’s the danger of extreme slipperyness and branches breaking & falling from trees.
