Reference

This page is a quick-and-dirty command reference for NG-BASIC, the Javascript BASIC interpreter.

GOTO line Examples:
GOTO 100
GOSUB line Go to a sub-routine at line. When the statement RETURN is encountered, program execution continues from the GOSUB statement.
Examples:
GOSUB 100
IF..THEN..ELSE Examples:
IF A>5 THEN 510 ELSE GOSUB 1000
FOR..NEXT For-loop. Example usage:
10 FOR I=1 TO 200 STEP 10
20 PRINT I
30 NEXT I
40 END

LINES( ), TAB( ), STR( ), RIGHT( ), LEFT( ), MID( )

    Sorry but I can’t locate the link to the web page where I could type in a simple Basic program to do some somple calculations. Does such a site exist?

    Hi Tom,

    I have seen sites that accept a few lines of BASIC code, which then runs on the server and the output is presented to you, but I don’t know any links from the top of my head.

    BTW — there is an interpreter right here that can run in your browser, perhaps that’ll suffice.
